As a former house manager for over 30 years, I have higher-than-normal experience with vendors and service personnel and because I work in high end homes, I expect excellent consumer service. Often in my job, I am called to choose the provider and set up services. In this case, the homeowner arranged service and I was present to greet the provider and get them situated. As it turns out, the hot water heater was a goner. Leaking and corrosion at the bottom told me what I already knew. The serviceperson, was amazing. He came with shoe covers ready and was polite, friendly and explained things thoroughly so I could present the information to the homeowner over the phone. The homeowner chose to replace with a tankless system and we scheduled for the next day. The following day, Josh T, Brandon C, Mike W and Daniel T arrived for the big production. This was a challenging job. They covered the carpeting and were respectful of the property and finishes. After realizing the 75 gallon tanks from a basement area would not fit through the door on a dolly, they called the boss who promptly showed up and helped lift them over the trim work and get them out without one scratch to the home. Not an easy job! The crew was there all day and left shortly after 5. Brandon stayed behind to walk through the new equipment maintenance and instructions and ensure everything was satisfactory before having me sign off. I recommend Peterman Brothers for any of your HVAC, electrical or plumbing needs and will recommend them to future clients and colleagues.

Richard was a head of his 30 heads up call. We had a leak on the furnace from the humidifier that was installed on when we purchased the furnace 3 years ago. He replaced the humidifier filter which was ca u sing the leak. No one from Peterman's ever told me to replace that filter. I was on their HVac program for the 1st 2 years and no tech let me no about the filter except Richard. Nice work Richard!

If you have any furnace issues I highly recommend these professionals. I had my furnace serviced through my normal guys out of Bluffton and when they got here they found an issue and immediately jumped to replacing the furnace. They were unwilling to budge on repairing the unit or even troubleshooting any issues and also didn't respond when I called to ask about repair options. I called for a second opinion with Peterman Brothers and my tech, explained all the options from lowest to highest to repair. He wasn't pushy about anything and was able to get my furnace going the same day. They have fair prices and an affordable monthly service rate for yearly inspections. I had been with my previous company for years and was leary on trying someone new, but I am so glad I did. I will be utilizing this company for any future HVAC or plumbing repairs.

I contacted Peterman Brothers HVAC to install an Aprilaire Space Gard Furnace Filter. They began work just a few short days later. The job was a bit complicated due to circumstances beyond their control. (Furnace installer cur some corners). The techs working on it were able to circumvent existing issues and the job turned out splendidly. We’re very satisfied with the finished product.

Had to get my furnace diagnosed as it was not producing any heat. Leo came and checked out the issue. Leo was very nice and did a good job explaining everything. They were able to get a new furnace in next day and Bryce was also excellent. He had another gentleman with him but I forgot his name on accident. They got the new furnace in and explained everything they did. They were transparent in the whole process. They cleaned everything up nice as if nothing was done. Highly recommend.

Our air conditioning went out yesterday and the house was miserable. Yesterday morning, I called a few companies, and they were the only one that were able to come out the same day. I knew that we were getting ready to enter a period of a major heat wave, and we needed to know what was going on ASAP.
We were told that they would be there at some point that day, and would call us before the technician came. We got a call about 45 min before that he was on the way.

Rick Mills came to inspect a plumbing issue I had and apparently it wasn’t as bad as I thought and that’s always good to know. I will have him back at some point to do some work on my upstairs shower. Today I just had him cap off my downstairs shower because it was leaking out of the value onto the shower floor. We don’t use the shower anyways and wanted it taken out. Great guy. Really nice and knowledgeable. Peterman brothers has some good people working for them and I’m very satisfied with their work.

The whole experience with Peterman Bros. was professional and satisfactory. Jason, the technician, answered questions, looked for all possible solutions to our issues with the water softener, and never applied pressure during it decision making process. Lewie came out to diagnose an error code on our tankless water heater and was incredibly thorough from start to finish. While on hold with the manufacturer to sort out the odd intermittent issue, he walked me through potential causes and even took the time to address a few unrelated problems he noticed during the visit.
He was professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable, and his clear communication built a lot of trust. I ended up signing up for a Peterman Brothers service contract for all our HVAC and AC needs, and I can only hope every technician is like Lewie.
Great customer service, prompt arrival, and he kept the hot water flowing for our family. Highly recommend!

Lucas came out to check on a light that hasn’t been working in our kitchen. He quickly got to work checking that issue as well as the rest of the electrical to insure our safety! Lucas was friendly, knowledgeable and even loved on our dog, Herky! While talking with Lucas he also gave my son some advice as he has thought of being an electrician when he gets older! The technician that came to my house for the repair was friendly and knowledgeable. We first went over my electrical system and moved on to the specific problem. There were options to the repair, and he informed me of the pluses and minuses of each. I chose the one that took less time and material, but still confident that it was a good fix. The technician was highly skilled and very observant to the details of the existing HVAC in our home, made recommendations to improve the furnace and operation of the equipment so as to maximize its efficiency in the home. He was very cordial, patient with questions we had, and explained in simple terms the mechanics and functioning of our Dehumidifier, AC and duct work. I woke up a few days again to a gurgling sound in my toilet as I was taking a shower. I didn't think much of it, thought it was a clogged drain from hair, I have long curly hair.
Come to find out my sewer is clogged. I called on Sunday. My mom swears by this company. Someone could have come out but I waited until Monday morning. The gentleman were very nice. Educated me along the way and made sure I understood what was happening and why they were doing what they were doing. I've got roots in the line and old clay pipes going out to the sewer line.
I was offered a great deal with good financing. They will be starting work within 48 hours.
Thank god for Petermans. It feels good to have a company you can trust that's honest and explains how things work. Best of all, they do it all: Air conditioning, plumbing, electric, HVAC, water heater.
This could have been a bad day but I feel relieved.

By the way, can I suggest adding "electrical" to your list.
Also, I "expected" someone to show up between 8AM-10AM based on the text I received. I would like to recommend, if possible, you change the text to include that it is a "flex" arrival time. I believe that gives customers a more realistic expectation of when a technician should arrive.

Our Air Conditioner was over 20 years old. After doing research on several companies, we decided to go with Peterman. I met with several employees of them and was impressed with all of them. They educated me about a replacement system. They explained what I could expect from the company and they lived up to all expectations I had. They were very responsive. My previous service provider was getting to a point where I could not get a quote from them. I definitely recommend you have Peterman give you a quote. They probably won't be the cheapest quote. Service man failed to clean furnace and busted the seam of the motor housing. Did not tell me that day. When I called about the noise of the fan the next service man cleaned the furnace at no charge but also failed to report the busted seam. I went with DORMAR to install a new furnace and AC unit. DORMAR top notch! I have cancelled my yearly maintenance contract with Peterman Brothers.

I had a great experience today with Brandyn. I expressed my concern based on reviews on Facebook and that I was worried I would experience predatory practices or have someone who didn't want to do their job right. This was absolutely not the case. He checked everything and explained everything he was doing. showed me what he found and explained how he tested it. I was involved in the whole process and he answered every question and was very empathetic to our situation. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. He got everything taken care of same day! I'm very happy he offered me the monthly membership that saves me the 85$ fee on a maintenance check up for my furnace and air conditioner. I even saved money today by getting it! The initial person that came out (Aaron) and (Dylan) were extremely thorough and professional. They were able to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. There's something about owning a home that causes you to have an immense fear that the sound you just heard is actually a massive money pit opening up. Peterman has brought us some piece of mind though and we love working with them. We had them come to check out our AC and the team was prompt, super nice, and took great care of us. I have been really impressed with their commutation which makes booking them to come out and follow-up near seamless. We opted for a yearly plan with them so that we can keep on top of things throughout the year. Wouldn't go to anyone else!

Follow on, we were so very happy with the HVAC installation that we decided to upgrade our 10 year old water filtration system. Two plumbers were here yesterday and installed a whole home water filtration system. We needed to leave to attend a local event soon after the Peterman crew left. Brushing our teeth my wife and I commented that the water tasted funny. Bottom line--today our water is so salty that we can't cook, with it or even bathe. We called Peterman Brothers saying we have an emergency. We can't live in a home whose water has more salt content than the ocean. We have purchased their "membership" for two years. The call center did not seem to appreciate the gravity of our plight. They said that they would "try" to get someone here tomorrow. Bad Show

I learned a number of things from him with the fall furnace check: things that our previous provider had never told us (EX humidifier has a damper that needs to be open to work! That explains a lot why it has never worked well. Also, run the system fan to help reduce the temp differences between upstairs and downstairs). Technician Anthony Adams came to my home today and was wonderful, he arrived right at 8am and took the time to explain exactly how my system runs! He informed me of a lot of perks and services I am able to use as being a member. I didn’t know all the things they offer, like a chance at a monthly $250 Visa card if you’re name gets pulled from the “hat” and you have their sign in your yard. Also they will send someone out free of charge for plumbing and electrical issues even if you aren’t able to afford the estimate of labor and materials at that time, it’s still no cost with being a monthly member! Lots of other great things as well and Anthony enjoys his work/customers because he truly cared and made sure every question or issue I had was addressed throughly. I know his next customer will feel the same!!

We have used Petermann Brothers for a number of years. They always give great service, and have very friendly servicemen. We had them come to clear a clog in our drain, and also to replace our garbage disposal. The person who came to do the work was very friendly, respected our home, and was great with our dog. The price for any of this kind of work is always very high, but theirs doesn't seem as bad as many. I am happy with the work that they did, for the price that they charged. And it's always nice that when they come to do the work

11-10-2025 - We had our annual HVAC check done. Dave came out, he checked everything, and made sure it was running correctly. He is very friendly and informative. He gave me tips to keep things running smoothly and had very helpful information. We have had them out a dozen times since we purchased our house. Mostly for annual checks and a few more when our furnace went out. (It went out on a Sunday, they were here within a couple of hours and we had a new one by Tuesday) We purchased a brand new furnace and air conditioning unit from them as well as got a duct cleaning. Every member we have interacted with has been informative, polite and respectful. Any questions we had they were happy to answer. They gave detailed information on what they were doing and how everything was working. When we were on a time crunch they did their best to have things finished so we could get to work. The installation crew didn't check to make sure they had connected power correctly. The furnace went out less than 30 minutes after it was installed, and that is when Peterman got extremely problematic - not wanting to send people out for multiple days, initially saying that nobody could come out for 4 days. Once they agreed to send someone the second day (after arguing with me for 45+ minutes) they then cancelled without telling me, and acted confused when I called and was upset that nobody showed up to the appointment.
My youngest son woke me up worried about how cold his bedroom got, and there was nothing I could do except give him extra blankets, because Peterman brothers couldn't be bothered to fix their mistake in a reasonable time frame.

I've had Peterman's monthly maintenance subscription for a few years, which includes semi-annual maintenance checks on the HVAC system. Every Peterman tech who has come out over the years has been professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. Today, though, Tanner Nelson beat the already high standard by a mile. Tanner clearly has a level of HVAC knowledge and expertise beyond the usual. He was efficient, thorough, and 100% transparent about what he saw and did. He was able and willing to answer questions about previous services. Every Peterman visit includes a short presentation of a few suggested preventatives or upgrades. While every tech has done the job well, some are more uncomfortable or, conversely, harder-selling than others. Tanner expertly threaded that needle as well. I've never met such an expert and well-rounded representative. I hope Peterman recognizes the gem they have on their staff!

Derick was fantastic. Super personable and polite. This was a routine maintenance they perform once when it starts to get cold out and once when it starts to warm back up again each year and is a free benefit for anyone in their member program. I have had issues with companies in the past that skimp/rush through these kind of inspections when they are no cost to the customer. I was hesitant to work with Peterman because I generally think any company with that much advertising is ripping you off. However, we have had nothing but good experiences with this company and their professionals. They are not the cheapest option but they are fast, communicative, straight forward and really take care of the customer service. For example, both times we used them this year they handled contacting the parts company to get the parts sent under warranty. Other companies told me to call the parts company. A small thing but makes life easier when I already have problems on my hands like ice cold showers or no AC! You do pay more but the service is worth it in my opinion. I don't feel ripped off and I trust them!

When they came to our house, they texted us a picture of the person coming and their name; this was a nice touch and made me feel safe! I also noticed that they always wore shoes covers when coming inside the house. Upon inspecting our home and figuring out our water softener situation, they were very helpful in giving us knowledge about the situation itself in detail.
Due to the way our house was built, they ended up having to install plumbing pipes and a main water shut off valve, along with the water softener. When they were finished, they also left us with salt in our water softener as well to get us started.
Overall great service and business! I enjoy how patient they were with all my questions and concerns. They did a good job explaining the process to me in detail and got the job done. Great experience!

Sometimes, when you're making a major purchase/repair, it's almost like throwing a dart at a dartboard and hoping it hits the right place :)
We checked several places, and all the prices on new furnaces were pretty similar. Some a few bucks more, some a few less, but all right in the ballpark.
We chose Peterman based on the salesperson who visited our house to give us the price. He was friendly and professional, and never made us feel pressured to buy. He simply laid out our options/prices, and basically said "If you need, us, call us". We appreciated that he didn't pressure us to make an on the spot decision for something that would cost several thousand dollars.
Installation day--our installers, Justin and Daniel arrived on time and got right to work. We have an older house, and they ran into a couple of snags, but handled it like true pros. They were friendly yet professional, and kept us appraised of their progress throughout the day.
Once the furnace was installed, tested, and up and running, the did an excellent job of cleaning up and left our house in great shape.
We couldn't be happier with the service from Peterman. We made the right choice.

Rick was very nice and knowledgeable and explained everything in detail and took care of the issue and said everything was flowing just fine I was having drainage issues backing up he was here checking all my drains making sure every one of them was working fine and flowing properly. We have used and like Peterman Brothers for our HVAC needs and were happy to.use them again today. Tyler was awesome and made the process simple and understandable. We ended up getting a new system today and Braxton was also awesome when it came to the sales side.
Edit Add: Our install crew was awesome as well. I don't remember their names but they deserve credit for all of their hard work. The new systems purrs and my house has never been warmer. Excellent Job all around!!
Overall, if I could give more stars I would. I'd recommend Peterman Brothers for any service they provide and will use them again in the future.

The technician Adam was great. He identified the problem quickly and got right to work fixing it. However, I did not appreciate the cost of the minor repair or that they force you into a monthly service plan. Due to the cold temperatures, we needed heat and could not be without it for another day so I didn’t have time to shop around.

I can’t say enough good things about Peterman Brothers HVAC Maintenance Technician Matt and the exceptional service and care for my well being he provided on a weekend for me! My system was over thirty years old but he took his time diagnosing the issues, taking pictures and going over them with me explaining the costs to replace parts and the labor costs to remove them and install new. He also explained why I had been having issues for years, the fact that my filter box was too small for the size BTU’s of the furnace. After discussing everything I decided it made more sense to replace the furnace. Matt worked hard for more than two hours to find a sales representative free, again on the weekend, who could provide pricing and get me on the schedule for a Monday install. If there were a sixth star, Matt earned it too!
