Jake diagnosed what another company failed to figure out and repaired the main concern of my A/C unit being slow to recover cooler temps during the heat of the summer. He also figured out that the other company had failed to wire my system correctly. His has a wealth of knowledge, exactly what you hope to have show up at your house. No calls to the office for assistance. He informed me of the status of my system so that I knew its current condition. He is also very easy to converse with. I would recommend him for your next visit.

They educated me about a replacement system. They explained what I could expect from the company and they lived up to all expectations I had. They were very responsive. Petermen Brothers was stellar as always. Our AC went wonky. Pushing air but not cooling. I called after Noon and got Gage the technician out in about 2 1/2 hours. Professional and affable to the core. He quickly diagnosed the issue. He broke down the issue and what fixes quickly in a very easily understandable way. Various fixes were offered at different price points. We decided what worked for us and he got to work. 2 hours later we had a functioning AC unit.

Had a flex appointment for Thursday and was surprised when I got a call at 10AM that tech would be at my home in 30 minutes. He arrived earlier and asked for info about my A/C problem. After checking thermostat, he went out to heat pump and checked the capacitor and found that it wasn't operating. He replaced the capacitor and checked the overall operation of the unit. The A/C was operating properly. Within 45 minutes of arriving, everything was running and house was starting to cool down. Brandyn was very polite and professional. Work was done timely. I'm very satisfied with both Brandyn and Peterman Brothers.

Called Peterman Brothers to look at water heater. Thought it was a bad thermocouple. Technician Jacob S. Came and listened to my thoughts on the issue then did diagnose to determine it was a bad thermocouple. He explained options and I chose to replace just the TC. He quickly replaced the unit and the water heater was functioning again. I was impressed with how quickly Peterman Brothers were able to get someone to our house in a matter of hours. I was very impressed with Jacob S. He was very professional and kept us informed thru the whole process! We will request him if we need Peterman's again.

The installation crew didn't check to make sure they had connected power correctly. The furnace went out less than 30 minutes after it was installed, and that is when Peterman got extremely problematic - not wanting to send people out for multiple days, initially saying that nobody could come out for 4 days. Once they agreed to send someone the second day (after arguing with me for 45+ minutes) they then cancelled without telling me, and acted confused when I called and was upset that nobody showed up to the appointment.
My youngest son woke me up worried about how cold his bedroom got, and there was nothing I could do except give him extra blankets, because Peterman brothers couldn't be bothered to fix their mistake in a reasonable time frame.

My latest technician Sam was very nice. He was helpful and advocated with the company about my malfunctioning air conditioner which was installed by Peterman's 2 years ago. The unit was installed without the coolant and ran for 4 days in the heat of summer before they came out and added coolant. It’s been a problem ever since. I know I need a new unit, I have asked for 2 years. I’m hoping Sam speaking to them in my behalf gets me the new unit I bought and not the broken one they initially put in.
All of the personnel who have come to my home have been nice. But the unit is subpar and needs to be replaced due to improper installation.

I was hesitant to work with Peterman because I generally think any company with that much advertising is ripping you off. However, we have had nothing but good experiences with this company and their professionals. They are not the cheapest option but they are fast, communicative, straight forward and really take care of the customer service. For example, both times we used them this year they handled contacting the parts company to get the parts sent under warranty. Other companies told me to call the parts company. A small thing but makes life easier when I already have problems on my hands like ice cold showers or no AC! You do pay more but the service is worth it in my opinion. I don't feel ripped off and I trust them!

Sometimes, when you're making a major purchase/repair, it's almost like throwing a dart at a dartboard and hoping it hits the right place :)
We checked several places, and all the prices on new furnaces were pretty similar. Some a few bucks more, some a few less, but all right in the ballpark.
We chose Peterman based on the salesperson who visited our house to give us the price. He was friendly and professional, and never made us feel pressured to buy. He simply laid out our options/prices, and basically said "If you need, us, call us". We appreciated that he didn't pressure us to make an on the spot decision for something that would cost several thousand dollars.
Installation day--our installers, Justin and Daniel arrived on time and got right to work. We have an older house, and they ran into a couple of snags, but handled it like true pros. They were friendly yet professional, and kept us appraised of their progress throughout the day.
Once the furnace was installed, tested, and up and running, the did an excellent job of cleaning up and left our house in great shape.
We couldn't be happier with the service from Peterman. We made the right choice.

He took the time to explain things to me with the plumbing. He was very honest with his suggestions on how to address certain items. After talking to Josh and looking at the items other companies looked at, he gave me a much better solution along with an in depth explanation. We just had Peterman Brothers install our new Furnace and Air today. I just want to say that our experience the best! We came home from a week of vacation and our existing Air was not working. We knew it was on its last leg, but it was overwhelming wondering how long we would be without an Air Conditioner. Well, 4 days is all it took, and they finished a day before the 4th of July!
The installation was fantastic! Evan, Colby, & Kenny were easy to work with…clean, trustworthy, courteous, and did a huge amount of work in one day! I would definitely recommend Peterman Brothers! We are so very pleased!

Cameron answered all of my questions about the electronic components from pricing to a potential new AC unit. He also gave me several options for services that you all provide.
After the furnace/AC installation, Jared Lee and his helper, who I do not remember his name, did exceptionally well. They did run into issues with the flooring which I had a feeling due to running into that same issue with previous projects. Jared did call for additional help to get answers for the unleveled flooring. Whoever those other guys were, I appreciate it wholeheartedly. Jared also went over my new smart thermostat, and gave me pointers for the furnace and AC unit.
The only pointer I have is in the future, let the customers know when you plan to test gas/alarms to ensure safety of others hearing and/or any jump scares (:
Overall, I have never experienced such an amazing company and so glad to be a member!

7-3-2025 - We have been having moisture issues. Thomas came out and checked out everything. He cleaned up our a/c and gave us fair pricing for multiple ways we could help with our home. He was very helpful and explained everything. We have had them out a dozen times since we purchased our house. Mostly for annual checks and a few more when our furnace went out. (It went out on a Sunday, they were here within a couple of hours and we had a new one by Tuesday) We purchased a brand new furnace and air conditioning unit from them as well as got a duct cleaning. Every member we have interacted with has been informative, polite and respectful. Any questions we had they were happy to answer. They gave detailed information on what they were doing and how everything was working. When we were on a time crunch they did their best to have things finished so we could get to work. Wow! What can I say? My experience with Peterman Brothers Heating and Cooling was above and beyond what I expected. Their prompt service and calls/texts and feedback to me were immediate and voiced with care and concern over any issue I had.
When Conner showed up to my house he was amazingly helpful. He answered any concerns or questions I had and was SO polite. His overall demeanor went way beyond his years as he worked non-stop making sure each and every detail was addressed and done right!
He and the other tech gentleman that he worked with, named Ben, worked tirelessly as they took out of my basement a "behemoth " fuel oil furnace. For hours they went up and down those steps taking it out of my house piece by piece, and when they were done they left my basement "spotless"!
The next day when they installed my new furnace and HVAC unit they again worked nonstop (barely having any time except for a quick sandwich or candy bar to hold them over) yet always had a smile on their faces and again took time out of their hectic day to answer any questions I had.
The personal touch that Conner showed, along with Ben, was 110% perfection. I would recommend these gentlemen to anyone who needs their furnace installed. Peterman Brothers company lives up to their name as one of "personal touch", "hardworking", and "dedicated to excellence"!

Our air conditioning went out yesterday and the house was miserable. Yesterday morning, I called a few companies, and they were the only one that were able to come out the same day. I knew that we were getting ready to enter a period of a major heat wave, and we needed to know what was going on ASAP.

Peterman Brothers is a great. Their customer service is stellar and they are open 24/7 in case of any immediate needs. When we called them, they were very diligent and were able to send someone out to our house within 1-2 days.
When they came to our house, they texted us a picture of the person coming and their name; this was a nice touch and made me feel safe! I also noticed that they always wore shoes covers when coming inside the house. Upon inspecting our home and figuring out our water softener situation, they were very helpful in giving us knowledge about the situation itself in detail.
Due to the way our house was built, they ended up having to install plumbing pipes and a main water shut off valve, along with the water softener. When they were finished, they also left us with salt in our water softener as well to get us started.
Overall great service and business! I enjoy how patient they were with all my questions and concerns. They did a good job explaining the process to me in detail and got the job done. Great experience!

Technician was prompt once receiving a ETA call, friendly, and knowledgeable. That’s why I’m rating 5 stars. Would have liked an appointment sooner than received but it’s summer and I get it takes time to get one with only so many techs to assist. Our unit was under warranty so I can’t speak to price but last year we purchased our unit with warranty coverage and it was reasonable given today’s prices. The issue wasn’t our unit but the need to upgrade our electric box for the powerful unit we have installed.

Kyle and Alex were absolute lifesavers this weekend. Our AC unexpectedly went out at the beginning of a major heat wave. Due to a technical glitch, our initial technicians were unable to keep their scheduled appointment. Kyle and Alex went above and beyond by coming to our home after their already scheduled jobs were complete and installing our new HVAC system (a 4 hour job) in the late evening. They worked until 10:30pm to ensure that we would have functional AC for our toddler and parents, who were in town visiting. I have never known a company to be so dedicated to customer service, and am so grateful for their work!

I had a great experience today with Brandyn. I expressed my concern based on reviews on Facebook and that I was worried I would experience predatory practices or have someone who didn't want to do their job right. This was absolutely not the case. He checked everything and explained everything he was doing. showed me what he found and explained how he tested it. I was involved in the whole process and he answered every question and was very empathetic to our situation. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. He got everything taken care of same day! I'm very happy he offered me the monthly membership that saves me the 85$ fee on a maintenance check up for my furnace and air conditioner. I even saved money today by getting it! Thank you Peterman Brothers! Please let Brandyn know he is much appreciated and I will deal with him only for my HVAC needs. Definitely recommend!!!!

During the most severe heat wave in decades in Indiana, our AC failed. The Peterman Brothers team went into action installing a complete new AC/furnace system and repaired ductwork in the crawlspace. They provided 2 portable air conditioning units to help us get through. They worked very hard for days in over 100 degrees to get the job done. My wife has asthma and I'm a disabled veteran. Hats off to Allen, Dustin, Drew, Brad, and Joe. You guys are the best and Peterman Brothers ROCKS!!

Efficient, friendly service. I don't like the "all day" system of appointment booking but it's hard to find the time window system any more. Everything is explained, with photos as evidence, and an invoice generated for estimated repairs. Note that customer-supplied parts (e.g. filters for furnace and humidifier) will cost significantly less, as Peterman will add a hefty markup.

As a former house manager for over 30 years, I have higher-than-normal experience with vendors and service personnel and because I work in high end homes, I expect excellent consumer service. Often in my job, I am called to choose the provider and set up services. In this case, the homeowner arranged service and I was present to greet the provider and get them situated. As it turns out, the hot water heater was a goner. Leaking and corrosion at the bottom told me what I already knew. The serviceperson, was amazing. He came with shoe covers ready and was polite, friendly and explained things thoroughly so I could present the information to the homeowner over the phone. The homeowner chose to replace with a tankless system and we scheduled for the next day. The following day, Josh T, Brandon C, Mike W and Daniel T arrived for the big production. This was a challenging job. They covered the carpeting and were respectful of the property and finishes. After realizing the 75 gallon tanks from a basement area would not fit through the door on a dolly, they called the boss who promptly showed up and helped lift them over the trim work and get them out without one scratch to the home. Not an easy job! The crew was there all day and left shortly after 5. Brandon stayed behind to walk through the new equipment maintenance and instructions and ensure everything was satisfactory before having me sign off. I recommend Peterman Brothers for any of your HVAC, electrical or plumbing needs and will recommend them to future clients and colleagues.

Joshua was on time. Honest. Did not mind over friendly golden retriever. Ethical. Thorough and found something not to code in our new house and pointed it out. Appreciated his work to fix our broken outdoor faucet. Was super tidy, sweeping up drywall dust and wearing shoe covers. So appreciative of his terrific service.

I had a small inexpensive job but you would have thought I spent a fortune with the level of service I received. They were at my house about an hour after I called. The quote was less expensive than I expected and he even spent extra time helping me with another issue. Great experience! I will definitely be calling them next time I need a plumber.

I woke up a few days again to a gurgling sound in my toilet as I was taking a shower. I didn't think much of it, thought it was a clogged drain from hair, I have long curly hair.
Come to find out my sewer is clogged. I called on Sunday. My mom swears by this company. Someone could have come out but I waited until Monday morning. The gentleman were very nice. Educated me along the way and made sure I understood what was happening and why they were doing what they were doing. I've got roots in the line and old clay pipes going out to the sewer line.
I was offered a great deal with good financing. They will be starting work within 48 hours.
Thank god for Petermans. It feels good to have a company you can trust that's honest and explains how things work. Best of all, they do it all: Air conditioning, plumbing, electric, HVAC, water heater.
This could have been a bad day but I feel relieved.

I called to have a bathroom drain unclogged and the lady asked if it was my home or a rental property. I said rental property and she asked how many do we own. I told her 16 and she said that they couldnt help. For whatever reason, she said they couldnt give me a thorough job so sorry. Pick and choose your customers. Count me out

I don’t usually write reviews, but I can’t say enough to express my appreciation and admiration of the technician and his team. The outfit that installed our York system and another one at our rental had no availability for a week. End of story. It’s 93 degrees and humid outside, so naturally we started calling around. Petermans had immediate availability. They sent down great technician, Spencer, who systematically diagnosed the problem with the aide of his home office, relayed the serial numbers to ascertain whether the unit was under warranty which it was and they ordered the replacement parts. Amazingly enough the parts were available, but in Fishers, 102 miles and nearly 3 hours away. They found an available tech who picked up the parts and drove them to our location. In the meantime our tech serviced another client nearby. Upon his return, he installed the parts, an eclectronic control module and fan motor, tested the system thoroughly checking the system pressures and temperature differentials. After he was satisfied everything was working properly, he reassembled the outside unit and went under the house and changed the filter and checked the evaporator coils. By this time it was nearly 6PM. Job completed, I signed the invoice, paid $450.00 with a credit card and thanked the gentleman profusely. What an awesome company!

I would recommend Peterman brothers to anyone who wants to work with a place who will treat you with honesty and integrity. We truly appreciate how hard Dan worked for us today to do all he could to possibly fix our air conditioning unit. It was just not fixable but he was so kind and felt terrible. We will for sure be working close with this company, and hopefully with Dan, as we go thru the process of replacing our unit. Thank you Dan for coming out on short notice and for doing all you could to help us.

Had my yearly maintenance for the first time as a club member. Rick was the one to answer the call, let me tell you some of the best service I have had when having someone work on my home systems. I'm no expert on price but the club membership seems like its a good deal, especially when you get guys like him educating you and walking you through it all being upfront and transparent. If they keep people like Rick around it's worth trying peterman brothers the next time you need some work or something looked at.
